Born to an American father and Japanese mother, Richard was exposed to a variety of exquisite cuisine from an early age. Richard owned an “Izakaya” (bar restaurant) in Japan where he honed his repertoire in Japanese cuisine. With a dream to succeed in America, Richard moved to California in 2014 where he became the head chef of a Japanese restaurant in the Bay Area.
